Bungy Jump and Sunway Lagoon day!

25th October 2014

Sunway Lagoon is one of the places I wanted to go before nxt year. There is one thing  I want to do there, apart from screaming my heart out loud on the roller coaster, that is bungy jump! The intention just stayed there, at the back of my mind, until Fiza surfaced the idea during our chit chat in group whatsapp.

Coincidentally it was a long holiday from work, and  business trip to KL on the following week. I leapt at the idea instantly. Bungy jump might be accomplished in this visit, that was I thought in my enthusiasm at the idea of going to Sunway Lagoon soon.

We arrived after 10 o'clock to see long queue already formed at the counter.

We started at scream park, just to gauge how scary the horror performance inside the ghost house before we decided whether or not to grab ticket into Friday Night of Fright which coincidentally scheduled on the night.

This theme park is relatively smaller as compared to other theme parks that I have visited before, obviously... like Disneyland, USS and etc. So we managed to cover all parks, hopped on almost all extreme rides, thanks to short queue and off season . Otherwise , we might not be this lucky no matter how small the theme park is.

Good news is that the musolla is provided just inside the park area, so it was a lot convenient for us to perform all obligations before we resumed to the more extreme activities... like, err... bungy jump perhaps (Yes, at this point of time I was starting to having the second thought about it.. The fears already crept in, you know.)

Perhaps the prayer time is a good pause for us to 'medidate' for a while, for  having some serene time, long prayer asking God to give me  the courage to jump afterwards. (Seriously, this nervousness felt like shite)

We had had popcorn for our lunch before we proceed to the world longest suspension bridge. We told among ourselves, this is just to get the feeling of the height before we could decide whether we have the courage to jump. At the end of the bridge is another activities that we could join freely, that is flying fox.

Zera, Fiza and I were queuing for flying fox, while my brain was working overtime in summoning the courage to brave myself to make the bungy jump. I never thought the process was stressful as this. Well, I have been dreaming of doing this back in Dungun, came all the way to SunwayLagoon a few days earlier than my business trip, and just to face the hesitance and fear to some extent I couldn't control them.

Being me, I hate it when I am being put in situation I couldn't control especially when dealing with my own inferiority. While on the other hand, Fiza which was still in positive spirit kept on coaxing me into doing it, as she seemed ever- ready to do it in no time. And I was torn with my fear and determination. Oh this stressed me out.

It took me almost an hour while in queue for flying fox, to brave myself to proceed with it. So we went to the ticket booth and once the ticket was purchased, I started to shut off my mind from thinking of the fears of jumping to death. I was silent along the walk to the platform. The nervous was still lingering I subconsciously barely able to speak with them. I just want to get over with it quick.

So I chose to jump first before Fiza, before I chickened out upon seeing her upcoming drama, just in case.

The moment I stepped onto the edge of platform, I just couldnt wait any longer. Before the fear stopped me, I jumped in no time.

One thing I discovered about myself, I lost the voice to shout when my fear reached the max! But when I was in suspended position, the fear was gone, and I started enjoyed the adrenaline rush. It was a by far the most.satisfactory.action.I.did.ever.

One tips before making this jump, you don't look to the bottom before you jump, or most probably you couldn't bring yourself to jump. As the instructor's advise , look ahead. Seriously it works big time.

Zaira was reluctant to do it initially, but when she saw us receiving her certificate, definitely she felt challenged! Ha ha!So instantly she subscribed herself for the jump even though we can see the fear in her eyes.

Yes, there was some drama that we have to watched, and (hush) the instructor started to yawn while waiting for her. But nonetheless, she made it as well!

Girls' Date at Victoria Station Steakhouse

24th August 2014

I've been meaning-or shall I put it as craving for enjoying delicacies at Victoria Station for months, but the right time has just arrived when Zera and Fiza agreed to tag along. Fuh! Saved myself from being lone diner, again in posh eatery.

As for starter we were served with bun and butter while waiting for our meals to ready.

I was having myself lamb barbeque blah blah  and Fiza was having chicken chop.  Zaira? She has actually arrived earlier than us, ordered and finished her salad before we even reached our table. Super speedy, huh!

Our meals came with salad too. And believe it or not, I started enjoying and appreciating bowl of salad from there on.

Thankfully I was only have myself roti canai throughout the day before this dinner, because the portion is super large for my normal intake. And I still practically can taste the lamb everytime I burped in the following morning. So worth the RM, I`m telling you.

We had small chit chat while waiting for the meal settled in our tummy (yeaa.. maybe just partially). And as always with phone in our hands. Don't you see anything familiar from these sight nowadays?

It is cozy dining spot every once in a while with vast selections of lamb and beef based meals and steaks, including chicken. Featuring British-inspired deco, you can also opt to dine inside the train, which is a bit more intimate. Well maybe I can try it next time, perhaps.

50th year Independence Day Getaway in Bali

27th- 31st August 2014

It was actually the second time that I purchased flight tix , and- the first time that I eventually arrived at Bali. I was supposed to join the other four travelmates back in 2010, but only a few hours before departure that I found out that I left my passport at Paka when I was already in KL. Yeah,I know. Lousy me.

So this time around the crowd has changed to new faces, except, well, Zaira, who will always leap to any traveling opportunity.

So we arrived at Denpasar International Airport in the midnight, before we were picked up to our lodging in Kuta city.

The itinerary throughout the trip was confirmed beforehand with our supir, Miko, so it was a lot leisure for all of to just go with it without much bothering of missing train, show schedule or whatsoever as it was already taken care of by Miko.

Our first INTERESTING destination was to visit coffee plantation , to taste the various types of cocoa, coffee and tea, including the well-known kopi luwak, as what they called as most expensive coffee in the world? Ah, whatever.

We also had a guided tour through the farm to see how they plant the coffee, cocoa , until they were served to us.

I tasted it, but honestly, I just couldn't figure out any difference with nescafe that I had occasionally at home. Anyway, it was worth a try after what people have said about it, no?

As much as its worth for the tasting , all of us finished the tour with a few selections of coffee and tea to bring back home.

After that we went to climb the hill for our lunch enjoying the chilly air that overseeing volcanic mountain.

Thankfully, there was also musolla available nearby for us to complete the necessary obligations before proceed to pose and pose! yee ha!

We also went to rice terrace, snapped the panorama, groufie , selfie and whatnot before we proceed to the next place.

We decided to take a stroll before calling it a day. The accomodation that we stayed is just at the center of Kuta city. Thus, walking around to enjoy the nightlife was not so bad idea.

And it is close to Hard Rock Cafe too!

On the second day, our agenda was to have the watersports at Tanjung Benoa. We selected a few activities to do at the beach such as parasailing, banana boat, and diving too! You don't get this chance  to dive back in Malaysia without its license, surely.

All activities completed in the noon, so we changed ourselves before we continue the tour to the next destination.

We dropped by at a few interesting spots to capture photos such as Pendawa Beach. Masjid Agung before continuing to Uluwatu. We had our tour around temple area while waiting for the Kechak Dance begin. And did I tell you how picturesque the scenery was?  We were awestruck to the bits!

We were a bit lucky that our tour guide gave us the tips to get the best sunset shot while watching the kechak dance. And yes, facing the blazing sunshine while waiting for the perfomance to start was the price we have to pay. What to do... there goes all UV ray straight into our skin. Hmph..

And he lied not. We got the best spot in the crowd, and we get the best view of the sunset.Wee hu!

The last stop for our last night in Bali was to enjoy dinner by the beach at Jinbaran. It was a nice dinner experience when you reach Bali, seriously...

... Because we had so many things to do at the beach while waiting for the food, like... posing!

On our last day, we took the opportunity to have a quick visit at memorial of the incident when Bali city was bombarded a few years back.

And we dropped by at Kuta beach too. There were so many surfers seen there- and dogs too, unlike a few beaches that we went previously.

The last attractions was Tanah Lot. Certainly we were awestruck by its beauty beach! We stayed there for a couple of hours, enjoying the beach breeze and its beauty.

And the very last destination before we depart to airport was spa! Seriously I can wait to experience the authentic Baliness spa.

All of us split into two rooms. And we truly, truly enjoy the experience despite some embarrassing requirements- errr, ok thats too much info.

And one good things is that lunch was provided too. I mean after we had our bodies and hairs done, definitely eating is one thing that -at least - I was looking forward to have!
