Tadom Hill Resort,Banting

 25th December 2015.

I was happened to attend Twins Of Faith conference this weekend, so I stayed at Fiza's crib.
And it was her idea to hv a picnic at Tadom Hill on the day before the conference.

We were guided merely by Waze to reach Banting.

The place is quite isolated and there is no proper signboard to the destination. Hence, it took series of u-turns and navigation on the same roads for a few rounds before we gave up and asked the locals.

There are groups of people already queuing to enter the picnic premise. Apparently the area was just opened for public weeks earlier, thus loads of rooms that highly need for improvement especially on the entry system.

All visitors are required to register with the entrance fee of RM 20 , if I'm not mistaken.

There are also picnic mat for rental, and if you plan for some privacy, there are also tents available for rent.

The entrance fee includes water activities , and all of us were equipped with safety lifejacket. However, the life guard is also available to oversee our safety in the lake.

Most of   us enjoyed being in the green lake. The scenery is really beautiful and peaceful. The time to enjoy the lake at its bestis in the morning. In the midday it was so sunny that sunbathing felt rather painfully hot. Grrr..

It is a very pleasant sight to see group of families and friend were around us with their own picnic setting. It is just refreshing being at  the lush greenery place like this.

We hv our nice breakfast and lunch alternately with water activities. How relaxing.. Ahaaa:)

Skytrex, Shah Alam

26th October 2014

This is another long overdue activity since last year. Yes, one of the reason apart from the distance constraint is that I was not serious into planning this.

So there were Zaira and me for this plan. There are a few sessions a day that we have to select upfront via its website, and the degree of difficulties. We decided to go for the extreme challenge.

We selected session at 8.30am which started with registration and group briefing.

After that, we resumed to get the harness for each of us.

Yes, first timer for me and straight to extreme challenge. It was like, if I can make it for bungy jump the day before, this challenge will be like, alaaaahh~

We joined in a group of 25 pax. All of us started the challenge by climbing the ladder. We chose to be the last women standing. Ewah~

I let Zaira climbed first, and the rest of photo taking will have to be selfie laa.. Boring.

The intensity of the challenges in Skytrex is its height. The more challenge we take means the higher that we have to climb.

Zaira left me all the way ahead, but I still busying myself with selfie. Haishhh..Can you see how high I was? Bole tahan nervous, but safety caution is taken as all of participants are equipped with the harness, so insya Allah you'll safe from fall down to the ground.

We completed the challenges after over one hour or so. It might look easy, but we are all sweaty like nobody's business.

It was fun at the end of the challenges.

And we have muscle ache the following day, cant help. huhu

Bungy Jump and Sunway Lagoon day!

25th October 2014

Sunway Lagoon is one of the places I wanted to go before nxt year. There is one thing  I want to do there, apart from screaming my heart out loud on the roller coaster, that is bungy jump! The intention just stayed there, at the back of my mind, until Fiza surfaced the idea during our chit chat in group whatsapp.

Coincidentally it was a long holiday from work, and  business trip to KL on the following week. I leapt at the idea instantly. Bungy jump might be accomplished in this visit, that was I thought in my enthusiasm at the idea of going to Sunway Lagoon soon.

We arrived after 10 o'clock to see long queue already formed at the counter.

We started at scream park, just to gauge how scary the horror performance inside the ghost house before we decided whether or not to grab ticket into Friday Night of Fright which coincidentally scheduled on the night.

This theme park is relatively smaller as compared to other theme parks that I have visited before, obviously... like Disneyland, USS and etc. So we managed to cover all parks, hopped on almost all extreme rides, thanks to short queue and off season . Otherwise , we might not be this lucky no matter how small the theme park is.

Good news is that the musolla is provided just inside the park area, so it was a lot convenient for us to perform all obligations before we resumed to the more extreme activities... like, err... bungy jump perhaps (Yes, at this point of time I was starting to having the second thought about it.. The fears already crept in, you know.)

Perhaps the prayer time is a good pause for us to 'medidate' for a while, for  having some serene time, long prayer asking God to give me  the courage to jump afterwards. (Seriously, this nervousness felt like shite)

We had had popcorn for our lunch before we proceed to the world longest suspension bridge. We told among ourselves, this is just to get the feeling of the height before we could decide whether we have the courage to jump. At the end of the bridge is another activities that we could join freely, that is flying fox.

Zera, Fiza and I were queuing for flying fox, while my brain was working overtime in summoning the courage to brave myself to make the bungy jump. I never thought the process was stressful as this. Well, I have been dreaming of doing this back in Dungun, came all the way to SunwayLagoon a few days earlier than my business trip, and just to face the hesitance and fear to some extent I couldn't control them.

Being me, I hate it when I am being put in situation I couldn't control especially when dealing with my own inferiority. While on the other hand, Fiza which was still in positive spirit kept on coaxing me into doing it, as she seemed ever- ready to do it in no time. And I was torn with my fear and determination. Oh this stressed me out.

It took me almost an hour while in queue for flying fox, to brave myself to proceed with it. So we went to the ticket booth and once the ticket was purchased, I started to shut off my mind from thinking of the fears of jumping to death. I was silent along the walk to the platform. The nervous was still lingering I subconsciously barely able to speak with them. I just want to get over with it quick.

So I chose to jump first before Fiza, before I chickened out upon seeing her upcoming drama, just in case.

The moment I stepped onto the edge of platform, I just couldnt wait any longer. Before the fear stopped me, I jumped in no time.

One thing I discovered about myself, I lost the voice to shout when my fear reached the max! But when I was in suspended position, the fear was gone, and I started enjoyed the adrenaline rush. It was a by far the most.satisfactory.action.I.did.ever.

One tips before making this jump, you don't look to the bottom before you jump, or most probably you couldn't bring yourself to jump. As the instructor's advise , look ahead. Seriously it works big time.

Zaira was reluctant to do it initially, but when she saw us receiving her certificate, definitely she felt challenged! Ha ha!So instantly she subscribed herself for the jump even though we can see the fear in her eyes.

Yes, there was some drama that we have to watched, and (hush) the instructor started to yawn while waiting for her. But nonetheless, she made it as well!

Mount Kinabalu

9-14th November 2012

Somewhere in 2008 er.. 2009 (crap! I cannot remember precisely the year), during our leisure conversation while watching E!, Ju Zie has once popped the idea of climbing the mountain Kinabalu together.Listening to the idea of climbing a mountain was as thrilling as other travelling activities that we set up together. But wait, the higher peak of Southeast Asia? I mean, seriously? Definitely I was skeptical of my own capability, for I was not an outdoor person, and living an active life was not in the plan at that point of time.

3 years down the road, life changes and the time comes,I guess. The opportunity to join the expidition appeared when Pae told me about  the plan which was organized by a fellow colleague. Unfortunately, dear friend, Ju Zie was far far away at Toowomba. Aww ssedih..

We arrived at Kota Kinabalu on 9th November. At Pasar Filipina, apart from buying some souvernirs and local crackers to bring home, we grabbed the opportunity to enjoy the best and cheapest seafood ever tasted in Malaysia. I ate like nobody's business. My justification, the energy from the lavish eating fiesta will help to bring me to the top of Kinabalu. Yela teww..

The next day we were  ready to leave to Kinabalu Park. We stayed in the dedicated hostels for another night , and ahhhhh speaking of foods, the dishes were sooooo tempting. Again, I can't help it, I ate like nobody's business. I guess somehow the cold weather here has contributed a significant impact to one's eating appetite, no? The air started to be frozen cold in the midnight, but I still managed to have a good night sleep. :))))

We were ready as early as 730am. The air was so cold that we could see it from our breath. That was when everybody got excited with their own breath. Hehe

My female friends went to the loo, and while waiting for them,I captured the beautiful scenery of the morning.

Before we began the journey, we made sure to get our enthusiastic faces snapped in the photos. Because later on, the glow in the smile will fade away as we ascending the mountain. Letihss!

All of us

Anddd.. off we go. Bismillah..

The scenery become more beautiful and more as we climbed higher.

                                                          macam drawing potrait,kan?

5 hours of hiking, we finally arrived at Laban Rata to rest and get refreshed. Err, we were not actually taking shower per se, because as we reached high up there, the temperature was low close to negative!Even performing the ablution required very high spirit to get through the cold water. Hehe. Cobaan~
And not to mention when the day went dark, it was impossible for us to even doze off. Too cold to fall asleep, I`m telling you.

We woke up at 1 am to get prepared for the finish line. At 2 am we started to climb to the top, with expectation to reach the top of the mountain before dawn. The wind was so cold and strong. And there was some point in between, when I was alone climbing the rocks, quite away from other fellow climbers, I felt scared to the bottom of my heart and started regretting the decision to join this expidition.

By using a rope to move forward, I can't see any chance to reverse and yet the climb ahead was getting tougher that I started to ask myself in anger  "WHAT THE HELL AM I GETTING MYSELF INTO?". But I pushed my leg to move and move.

At last, I made my way to the top, despite the rough wind and cold breeze with super thin air. Alhamdulillah. It was paid off. Phewww..~

So fulfilling.
